Debenhams offering 70% off 'stunning' bedding that 'makes any bedroom look posh' – Chronicle Live

Debenhams shoppers have been rushing to snap up some "outstanding" bedding following a huge price drop that has turned heads with its "posh" look.
The Sanderson Ashbee Duvet Cover is the bestselling bedding in the retailer's mammoth Black Friday sale, with neutral shades of ivory, beige or grey to choose from. Now reduced from between £120 and £225 to between £36 and £67.50 depending on which size you need, the duvet cover has an opulent look with an embossed floral pattern that will add instant luxury to any bedroom.
The matching Ashbee Standard Pillow Case has also seen its price slashed in the Debenhams sale from £42 down to £12.60 per case, while a coordinating Ashbee Throw and Ashbee Cushion also have 70% off for the complete classy look. And the duvet cover has earned rave reviews from shoppers too, who praised its "excellent" quality and said they loved its "luxurious" look.
"It's beautiful to look at, feels lovely when sleeping and makes my room look modern and fresh," one Debenhams customer fed back alongside a five-star rating.
And another agreed: "Absolutely beautiful, just what I wanted – class and comfort." The bedding is also available on the Bedeck website, where it has also earned a string of five-star reviews.
"Excellent quality, heavier than most covers, looks smart on bed and had the best night's sleep," a third shopper said.
And someone else wrote: "Brilliant quality, first class. Would recommend to anyone wanting a posh look for the bedroom."
While the majority of customers awarded the bedding top marks, a small number of reviewers were less impressed, with one remarking they thought the duvet cover was "thinner than expected" while another said they found the quality "disappointing".
"Unfortunately I have bought two of this product and on washing find it heavily creased and in need of extensive ironing," they complained.
Similar options elsewhere on the high street include the Laura Ashley Steel 100% Cotton Sateen Josette Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set, available for between £45 and £85 from Next, and the Undeniable Meander Duvet Cover from Joh Lewis, priced from £75 for a single to £105 for a super king size. Textured bedding sets have been all the rage this year, with shoppers snapping up new styles just in time to cosy up over the winter months.
One of the bestselling choices over at Dunelm is Billie Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set, which has a budget-friendly price of between £32 and £52 and comes in eight colours to suit any bedroom décor, ranging from classic white or grey to cheerful ochre yellow, calming sage, or luxurious emerald green. With over 1,200 reviews on the Dunelm website, the popular bedding has earned an impressive average rating of 4.7 out of five stars.
